[re]design @ Bluebird showcased the work of seventeen innovative British designers bringing an awareness of sustainability to contemporary design. The work on show offered engaging, sustainable solutions – some elegant, some humorous, some ingenious – all inventive and thoughtful.

From the courtyard area to the stairs and the bar to the brasserie, exhibits were found throughout the Bluebird complex and often where you'd least expect them – even in the gents.

Designs included a rocking chair made from reclaimed cinema seats, lights made from crushed plastic bottles, cushion cubes made from organic hemp and a surprisingly comfy sofa made from retired Euro bins.

Visitors were encouraged to interact with the exhibition by touching and using some of the exhibits on display, and to discover the various design strategies, materials and production processes used to create sustainable, beautiful and useful products.
